accomplishments

A highlight of the past year is SLATE-Z's ability to leverage its collective strength to help bring the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art (LMNA) to South Los Angeles. In January 2017, the Board of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art voted to establish the Museum in Exposition Park, in the heart of the South LA Promise Zone. The Museum represents a private philanthropic investment of over $1.2 billion. SLATE-Z is partnering with the Museum and the Building Trades to ensure local hire in the estimated 1,000 construction jobs as well as in 350 permanent positions when the Museum opens.
