Angela Huang is SLATE-Z's Community Liaison at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the Los Angeles Field Office. She started her career at HUD as an intern and brings extensive experience and knowledge of the federal government. Prior to SLATE-Z, Angela worked in HUD's Office of Multifamily Housing as a Project Manager where she completed a rotation with HUD Headquarters and trained HUD field staff throughout the country on a bottom-up and continuous improvement approach. Angela has always had a passion for community development and social advocacy. As an immigrant woman and first generation college student, Angela strongly believes in breaking down the barriers to opportunity and building equitable cultures. She recognizes the power of not only the community, but of the individual in effecting systemic change.
Angela received both her Bachelor's in Policy, Planning and Development and her Master's in Sustainable Land Use Planning from the University of Southern California.
